Seller's Responsibilities
- Call utility companies to arrange a final reading of utilities and provide them with a forwarding address
- Cancel your Homeowner's Insurance Policy effective after closing date
- Bring Driver's License or valid ID on closing day
- Notify USPS of your new forwarding address
Buyer's Responsibilities
- Call utility companies to transfer utilities in your name to your new address as of the day of closing
- Have your new Homeowner's Insurance Policy in place and paid for before closing date
- Bring Driver's License or valid ID on closing day
- Notify USPS of your new forwarding address
- Be sure to bring a cashier's check or to set up a wire transfer for the correct amount included in the Closing Statement
